University of Melbourne: Engineering and IT Program Yr 9
As a recent participant in the Melbourne University Engineering and IT Program, I can confidently say that it has been an unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. This program immersed me in a world of knowledge, innovation, and camaraderie.
During this program I stayed on campus and completed many interesting workshops and activities. This showed me that engineering and IT are fields best learned through hands-on experiences. These workshops allowed us to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Whether it was coding challenges, building prototypes, or designing innovative solutions, every activity brought new insights and sharpened our skills.
Our kind mentors were always ready to lend a helping hand, demonstrating a supportive learning environment that made this whole experience truly enjoyable.
Living on campus during the program was a extremely unique and incredible experience and being surrounded by 40 other girls my age who shared similar interests felt like a four day sleepover and it was truly one of the most memorable and fun times of my life.
The highlight of this camp was definitely the Careers Night Expedition. This night was hosted by Melbourne University, featuring a panel of truly amazing former students who have now established successful careers in engineering and IT, was an inspiring and motivational experience. Each guest speaker shared their unique journey, from their time as students at Melbourne University to their current roles in the industry. Their stories were filled with resilience, determination, and passion for their chosen fields.
What sets the Melbourne University Engineering and IT Program apart is the passion and dedication of its organisers in creating the perfect learning experience. They've struck an impeccable balance between academic diligence, practical exposure, and a sense of community. The friendships I made here will undoubtedly last a lifetime, and the skills and knowledge I gained have set a solid foundation for my future.
