Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

Trust you have had a good week.

This week on Wednesday afternoon our staff have had their annual training with First Aid. Besides being a safety requirement, it is very important to us all that we have the ability and knowledge to assist and care for the children when they have their health issues.

On Tuesday we celebrated a Liturgy for Our Lady of the Assumption Feast Day. Thank you to those who could attend and Mrs Winduss for leading this. The weekend Masses of the 19th and 20th of August will be times when our students intending to be Confirmed in the faith are able to continue their enrolment for this.

Fr Martin is currently on leave until his return at the end of the term. All religious events will be Liturgies in his absence.

Tomorrow our senior students play Seaford Park away and we wish them all a great time representing their school.

As part of the Year 1/2 inquiry learning we are having a  Free Dress Day tomorrow. They are working on which social justice project they will support with the funds raised.

Next week is Book Week which we commence with our Celebration Day and Book character parade Monday morning. Families are warmly welcomed to join us for this.

The Lightning Premiership for our senior students against our local schools in next Friday 25th August.

Our Foundation- Year 2 students will be doing an excursion to the Library on the same day as part of their learning.

Saturday 26th August we will be holding our Trivia Night at 7pm. With a Studio 54 we expect it will be the glamour event of our year and the staff are already working on their costumes. Hope to see as many of you there, and your friends, as can join us. Thanks to the hard working P and F team for their work in putting this event together.

God Bless

Rod Shaw
