From the Heads of Secondary

Julia Boland and Stephen Price

Last week we once again witnessed a fantastic display of school spirit at the annual AgQuip in Gunnedah. Students, staff and parents were all involved in some way shape or form over the three days. It was great to connect with students and families both past and present. The students were wonderful role models for the school, serving others by cooking the BBQ, making coffees and entertaining the crowds as part of the band.

There is also much going on before the term draws to a close.

This Friday, September 1 there are two events:

  • Father’s Day Breakfast, all secondary students are invited to attend the Father’s day Breakfast at Brisbane Street from 7:30am. Students are to come along with their dad or significant father figure in their life.  If you would like to come please let us know by clicking below.
  • The annual House Shakespeare day in Secondary. This event is held on the Brisbane Street Campus at 9am. All students 7-12 are to start the day at BSC. Students in 7-9 will then be bussed to WCC at the conclusion of the event and complete the day at the William Cowper Campus as usual. Parents are welcome to come along and enjoy the performances. Morning tea will be served for parents at the conclusion of the event.

The following Friday, September 8, also sees the next instalment of the Senior Rugby night. There will be a host of rugby games at Scully Park. A gold coin donation on entry will go to Serendipity. All families past and present are welcome to come and enjoy the evening.
