Book Week

Book Week is finally here...

Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair will run from Monday 11th - Thursday 14th September.

Children will be visiting the fair on Monday 11th and creating a wish list to take home.

The fair is open to families on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 8:15-9am and 3-3:30pm. If you or your child would like to purchase books from the fair, there are a few different options.

  • Parents can visit the fair and purchase books during the opening times
  • You may wish to give your child money to shop at the fair
  • You can send in the money for a particular book/s from their wish list
  • You can fill in the pre-payment form and pay online for selected books, and your child will be able to collect these from the fair using this form. Please remember to include the receipt number.

If you are sending your child with money, please place it in a named envelope.

Grandparent's Afternoon

We will have a Grandparent's afternoon from 2 - 3:15pm on Wednesday 13th September.

Grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren in their classrooms for some fun book week activities. There will also be an opportunity for grandparents to visit the book fair with their grandchildren if they wish. At 2:50pm grandparents will be invited into the Red Centre for afternoon tea.

Dress up & Parade

The Book Week Parade will be held on the final morning, Friday 15th September. We would love everyone to participate by dressing up. We encourage families not to spend large amounts of money on costumes. Instead, try to utilise what you already have at home or spend some time being creative! We will have our parade on the basketball court at 8:45am (weather permitting). Families are welcome to attend.

The SRC have selected the following criteria for special awards on the day. We will have a range of prizes to give out, including Book club vouchers, Holey Moley vouchers, stationary, books and posters!
