Welcome 2024 Kindergarten Students

A warm and cheerful welcome to our new kindergarten students for 2024. It was great to see all of you arrive at school this morning with your families, ready to take on new adventures at 'big school'. We are really excited to start this learning adventure together at Sacred Heart Primary School.

A Hive of Excitement

Our classrooms were buzzing today with happiness as we prepared for a year filled with fun and learning. Students in our 3-6 classroom were collaboratively designing classroom expectations based on the Living Well, Learning Well student support framework :

  • I am Safe
  • I am Valued, Respected and Cared for
  • I am a Learner

Garden Club

Garden Club students were thrilled to be back in the garden and veggie patch today and enjoyed a sack as they were tidying up.

Australia Day 2024

Australia Day 2024 was celebrated with residents and visitors at the Boggabri Pool last Friday. We were fortunate to hear from Mr Clyde Campbell AM, as the Narrabri Shire Council's Australia Day Ambassador. Clyde has made significant service to community health, particularly to people living with Parkinson’s disease.

Clyde founded the Shake It Up Australia Foundation in 2011 after being diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s at the age of 44. In the 10 years since its inception, the foundation has co-funded with The Michael J. Fox Foundation 50 Parkinson’s research projects across 13 Australian research institutes to the value of over $15 million.

Grace Groves also spoke to the Boggabri community as Captain of Sacred Heart School. She confidently shared a speech she had written on Australia and what it meant to her. Grace spoke about what she enjoyed about Australia and made reference to Dorothea Mackellar’s famous “My Country” poem.

Well done, Grace, on representing Sacred Heart School in your first official duty.
