Principal’s Message
Mrs Claire Ryan
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am thrilled to warmly welcome each of you as the new Principal of Sacred Heart Primary School. As we embark on this exciting journey together, I am honoured and privileged to be a part of such a vibrant and dedicated community.
I hope this message finds you well-rested and rejuvenated from the Christmas holidays. With great enthusiasm, I welcome back our returning students, families, and staff and extend a heartfelt greeting to those joining our Sacred Heart family for the first time. Together, we will make this academic year a memorable and successful one.
My primary focus is fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing an engaging and challenging curriculum that prepares students for a hope-filled future.
Communication is critical, and I encourage open dialogue between parents, students, and staff. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas. Together, we can continue to make Sacred Heart School a place where everyone in our community feels safe, valued, respected, cared for, and inspired to achieve their full learning potential.
I look forward to working closely with all of you to create a positive and enriching school environment. Let's make this academic year remarkable, filled with growth, success, and meaningful connections.
Thank you for your warm welcome, and here's to a fantastic school year ahead!

Farewell & Best Wishes
It is with great sadness that we farewell Mrs Leah Rees. Leah has decided to leave her role as an Education Assistant to follow a different pathway. We thank Leah for her compassion and dedication in our classrooms at Sacred Heart for the past seven years and wish her every blessing and success in her future endeavours. Leah's last day at Sacred Heart will be tomorrow Friday, 2nd February. We have begun the process of recruitment to employ another Education Assistant.
Change of process for Newsletter & Assembly
The School Newsletter is our most significant means of communication between school and home, and we value the time it takes for our parents and family members to read it thoroughly. As a staff, we have agreed to change from a weekly to a fortnightly newsletter. Therefore, starting this week, the newsletter will be available fortnightly during odd weeks throughout the term.
Our School Assembly will follow suit and become a fortnightly gathering. We will continue to welcome all our families into the school during even weeks on a Friday for assembly with a new scheduled time of 2:15pm-2:45pm. During these assemblies, we will continue to showcase the students' learning and present two Living Well, Learning Well Awards from Kinder to Year 6 and two Class Awards for each classroom.
We look forward to seeing you throughout the year at our School Assemblies.
Warm regards,
Claire Ryan
