Intervention Centre

This year Narrandera High School are introducing the Positive Intervention Program (PIP) in the Intervention Centre.

This program has been designed by NHS staff to support our students in all areas at school, promoting positive behaviour and overall wellbeing as a priority.

Data will inform staff of student participation and each group will spend 4 sessions with Mrs Lucas and Ami in the Intervention Centre. The groups will run on consecutive days with a particular focus on awareness, skills and connection.

Awareness - students become aware of how their behaviour affects their learning and relationships and become informed about how and why different behaviours are demonstrated.

Skills - development of skills to self regulate and make positive choices in every day life.

Connection - opportunities to build positive connections with staff and students to support their learning.

PIP sessions will be delivered respectfully and will include student voice throughout. As this is a new program, it will continually develop and we are open to feedback as we want this initiative to be successful for all students at Narrandera High School.
