Reporting

Improvements in reporting student progress.

BSC has transitioned to an Ongoing Reporting Model. Ongoing Reporting means that students and parents/carers receive detailed feedback for assessments more frequently throughout the school year, rather than a specified point in time. Teachers provide detailed feedback about student achievement and engagement in learning for Assessment Tasks 2 or 3 times per Semester, for each subject.

Ongoing reporting replaces the previous progress reports.

Advantages of ongoing reporting include:

  • Enables teachers to provide timely and targeted continuous feedback to inform and improve student learning and engagement in school.
  • Enables everyone in the school community to support students better.
  • Supports authentic and timely engagement with parents.
  • Engages students in their own learning by providing structured and frequent feedback on their progress.
  • Supports teachers to provide differentiated content to all students.
  • Teachers can more effectively identify students requiring additional supports.

Ongoing reporting is available in Compass. Please refer to the attached instructions to learn more about how to access Ongoing Reporting in Compass.

Please contact the College if you have questions or have problems accessing Compass.
