Swimming Carnival

All Saints' launched into the 2024 school year with their annual swimming carnival. Children turned up to school in their house colours ready to compete against and cheer for their fellow classmates. A large proportion of the student body was eager to compete in each race, for the younger children it was their first experience with competitive swimming. The novelty events were well supported and kept all students involved in the day.

The highlight of this year's carnival was the parent/ teacher/ student race. Buoyed by their success last year, and in stark contrast to previous years, the parents formed two highly competitive teams rather than scrounging around for willing participants. Drawing from a much smaller pool, the teachers could still provide a capable team. It was a much-anticipated race that did not disappoint. Team Parent - McIntyre took out this year’s trophy (chopping board), Team Parent B finished 2nd with the teachers finishing centimetres behind in third place. And let's not forget the children, who the day was all about, they finished fourth with smiles on their faces. Next year we may consider a handicapped event.
