From the Principal's Desk

A warm welcome to all our new parents at All Saints’ Primary School, and a heartfelt welcome back to our returning parents as we embark on the journey of 2024 together. We are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us by entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children.

The year has started off with great energy and enthusiasm. Last week, our teachers engaged in a Professional Development Day, followed by the MAI interviews where we appreciated your cooperation in bringing your children in. Additionally, our dedicated educators spent a day planning the curriculum, ensuring that we provide the best learning experiences for our students. Finally, we wrapped up the week with our much-anticipated annual All Saints’ swimming carnival.

The swimming carnival was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Middleton, our teachers, and the enthusiastic participation of our students. It was heartening to witness their sportsmanship and enjoyment throughout the event. We extend our gratitude to the parents who attended and supported the carnival. While the staff may have fallen short in the relay race, rest assured, we are already gearing up for redemption in the upcoming Athletics carnival.

As we move into Week 2, our focus has shifted back to the classrooms, where the entire school is actively engaged in learning. It has been a delight to witness the vibrant learning environments and the dedication of both teachers and students. The enthusiasm displayed at the start of the year is truly commendable.

Looking ahead to the coming week, we have two significant events on the horizon. Firstly, we will celebrate Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Tuesday. Our senior students, along with Mrs. Barclay, Miss O’Sullivan, and any available parents, will come together to cook pancakes and share in this joyful tradition of feasting before the solemnity of Ash Wednesday.

Speaking of which, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a period of reflection, fasting, and prayer in preparation for Easter. We invite you to join us for the parish mass at 9:30 am in the church, as we commence this sacred season. All members of our school and parish community are welcome to participate in this meaningful observance.

Once again, we express our gratitude for your ongoing support and collaboration. Together, let us make 2024 a year of growth, learning, and spiritual enrichment for our children.

God Bless,

Daniel Francis
