ALL WELCOME – WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

The church has been set with the colours of Advent, in preparation for Christmas, with blue being the colour of hope. The Christian faith rests on the hope that one day Jesus will come again.

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday morning for worship. Worship times are 8.30am for a Traditional Service and 10.00am for a more Contemporary service. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held most weeks after both worship services.

From Christmas and throughout January, there will only be one service at 9.30am each Sunday, with a blended style of worship. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held after the worship service.

CHRISTMAS WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

All are warmly invited to join St Paul Lutheran Church as we celebrate with our Christmas worship services.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Playgroup @ St Paul is on a break now for school holidays.

This week we had some Christmas crafts and activities for our last playgroup of the year.

The Year 3 classes made some Christmas Cards for our Playgroup families, which we shared today, and they were a real blessing to our playgroup community.

For more information about anything playgroup related contact Kylie Koelman in the Church Office on 8262 4690 or email at office@stpaul-church.org.au

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are some small ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

Have you thought much about your name?  What it means and why it was chosen for you? Jesus was given the name ‘Immanuel’ which means ‘God with us’.  The birth of Jesus at Christmas fills us with hope, knowing that we have a loving God who is with us all the time.  Through the highs and the lows, through the moments of joy, the moments of desperation and all moments in between.  We can step out each day in hope, knowing that He will be with us, providing love, grace, forgiveness and strength through all that we do.

Prayer:

O come, O come, Immanuel. Please fill us today with your light and grace. Amen.

Bless:

(Child’s name) May God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ be kind to you and bless you with peace.  Amen.

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS

We welcome all school families to join us in celebrating the birth of Jesus at Christmas this year. A time for us to celebrate that our God is a God who wants to be so close to us that he came down to walk among us and was born as a helpless child. All done so “that we might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Christmas is a time of great celebration and we pray that all families of St Paul, children and staff have a blessed Christmas, filled with the hope, joy, peace and love that Jesus freely gives.
