Trinity Bok Choy Festival! 

There was so much excitement today as students harvested our delicious bok choy! We had so many volunteers from across our school to help with cooking! We will cook up some more of our produce soon, so there will be plenty more opportunities for a turn to cook. Ms Sally and myself had 20 assistant chefs harvesting, washing, chopping, cooking and serving our delicious snacks, fried with garlic and salt! At least 150 students came to eat and loved it! 

Our Gardening Club students were so busy in our gardens today! Our new garden beds near the Adventure Playground are flourishing with broccoli, celery, onions, garlic, bok choy and spinach. Snow peas are starting to wind themselves up the garden arches and will soon provide a beautiful (and delicious!) green canopy. The carrot seeds we planted last term are slowly producing very tiny carrots, so we are excited about picking them in our Springer harvest. It is looking like some delicious vegetable soup will be cooked up soon for us to enjoy!

HELP US FUNDRAISE!

Farmers’ Pick have offered us a huge 20% off for all new orders! Trinity is participating in the ‘Feed Our School’ fundraising initiative by Farmers Pick, an organisation that prevents ‘perfectly imperfect’ fruit and veg from ending up in landfill by selling boxes of this produce that supermarkets can't. Families can order fruit and veg boxes online, and have it conveniently delivered to Trinity every Tuesday.  Better yet, their produce is priced up to 30% less than at the supermarket, and Trinity receives $5 for every box ordered! CAN YOU HELP US?We would love to find a volunteer to repot our lemon tree into a larger pot. It gives us many beautiful lemons but desperately needs repotting in order to survive. If you can help please contact Ms Belinda at bnechwatal@tcs.catholic.edu.au.

NUDE FOOD DAY - THURSDAYS 

Congratulations to 3/4SK this week with 17 rubbish free lunches! They were followed by 1/2MB with 9, 3/4VA, 1/2AS with 7, 3/4TR and 1/2DG with 5! We ask students to choose foods which create no rubbish to bring for lunch on this day.
