Principal's News
Dear Families,
It has of course been a very sad time for all of us in the Trinity School Community and I thank each of you for the strength and support you have provided for each other. This week we have had to face a great loss and I know so many of you have offered your thoughts and prayers for Sophie, Luke, Austin and Claudia. I know this support will continue so please keep them in your prayers as they face the challenging days ahead.
If any families need support for their children please reach out to us at any time. I have also included some useful links here:
This morning many of us gathered in the Church to offer up a Rosary for Sophie and I thank all those who attended for their own quiet prayers. Thank you Bernadette for leading us in this beautiful prayer which we will offer again next Friday.
Following our school assembly we all gathered again in the Church to spend some quiet time together and to join in prayer for Sophie.
May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall,
You do not walk alone.
Fathers and Special Person's Day
Thanks to all the dads and special people who attended our breakfast last Friday morning. We had a great turnout and it was a wonderful catch up with lots of people attending. An early morning coffee is high on most people's agenda and so, when our young Barista was having a major hiccup with the coffee cart, a number of our parents stepped in to either help sort out the problem or speed up the production once we were up and running. Thanks in particular to Sally and Alistair. Jason and Brad from Howzit Brew Cafe could not stop telling me how wonderful the parents and staff at Trinity are.
Thank you also to Anna, Shari and Kate who organised a fantastic classroom experience for our Prep Fathers and Special People. I am sure they will all very fondly remember their first Father's Day breakfast at Trinity. I think a few of them would happily have stayed for the rest of the day.
District Athletics Results: Mrs McLeary
Congratulations to all the Yr 5/6 students who competed at the District Athletics last Friday. We had a great day and all the students were fantastic, putting in 100% effort in all events.
The following students did an exceptional job and will now go through to the next round at Epping next Wednesday;
- Cam -- 800m and 1500m
- William - Discus
- Lily - Hurdles
Well done!
Brazilian Jiu Jistu Classes
Aly, one of our parents has opened a new Brazilian Jiu Jistu Academy and would love to welcome new families to check it out.
Classroom Cuisine - Online Lunch Orders
We have decided to reintroduce Classroom Cuisine as an online lunch order option. We have used this service in the past and believe it might suit some families as it will enable you to order online in advance. Initially the service will only be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with the possibility of offering further days if the demand is there. Lunch orders will be delivered to the school.
We will continue to offer the traditional lunch orders in a brown paper bag from Modena Cafe daily.

From the Library - Ms Shaw
A big Thank You to our wonderful community for supporting the annual Book Fair held in the Library. As always it was great to see Students, Families and Staff browsing and looking at the great books on offer.
We very much appreciate all your support besides adding to the fun. For every Dollar spent we receive a commission with which we source new books for the Library.
Thank you too to all the staff for their help and Christine for volunteering so that everything was able to run smoothly.
We are already looking forward to next year!
Thank you and
kind regards
Barbara
Year 5/6 Class Mass - St James Church
We extend an invitation to all our families and especially those from Year 5/6 to join us for mass on Sunday 15th September. The class mass will be part of the usual Sunday 11am Mass at St James Church. We are looking forward to seeing a really great turnout.
Rosary - St James Church
Thanks again to Bernadette who led us in a decade of the Rosary today, Friday September 6th in St James Church from 8:15am. We will pray the Rosary again next Friday for Sophie, Luke, Austin and Claudia.
Children's Liturgy this Sunday at St James Church
This coming Sunday, on the 9th of September, Annabelle Marinelli will be leading the 'Childrens Liturgy of the Word' for children from Prep to Year 6. This will be happening during the 11am Mass at St James Church. We invite our Trinity children to attend.
School Closure Day
A reminder again that on Friday 20th September there will be a student free day to enable staff to participate in a full day of faith formation and professional learning. Friday would normally be the last day of term and students would be finishing at 1:35pm, therefore our last day of term 3 will be Thursday 19th September but will be a full day finishing at the normal time of 3:15pm.
Uniforms - Second Hand Uniform donations needed:
If your kids have grown out of their (new style) uniforms, please consider donating to the secondhand “shop”.
We only have a few items left after the sale last term and so we would love to replenish our stocks.
You are welcome to drop them off to the office.
Thanks so much!
Christine
Building Grant Update
We have had a few meetings now with the MACS Planning and Infrastructure team and are obviously very keen to move quickly in beginning our building refurbishment project. At present the plan is to look at the far end of the existing building to enable refurbishment of the staffroom, wellbeing space and the far end of the first floor. This will hopefully give us two new classrooms, a lift as well as a much needed new kitchen and staff facilities.
