The Feast Of the Assumption of Mary, 15 August

The Catholic Church honours Mary, the Mother of Jesus, on the 15 August. 

This feast is known as The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and it is the day we acknowledge Mary being assumed body and soul into Heaven.  

Today we were fortunate to have Fr Kevin, a visiting priest, celebrate the 10.00 am Mass for the school and parishioners. The talented school choir led the singing and a students were very respectful participating during the Mass.  

Always make sure you find some time to pray the Hail Mary or have a little chat with Mary our mother in Heaven.

Sacrament of Confirmation Family Faith Evening

A reminder for the Year Six families that the Sacrament of Confirmation Family Faith Evening being held on Thursday 22 August, 6.00 - 7.00 pm, in the Hub. 

The Year Six students completing the Sacrament of Confirmation this year must attend the session with a parent or caregiver. The role of a sponsor will be explained during the session but you do not need to have decided on the person prior to the session. If they have already decided on their sponsor for the Sacrament of Confirmation then the sponsor is most welcome to attend the session. 

If the Year Six student completing their Sacrament of Confirmation is unable to attend then you need to arrange a catch up session with Deacon Malcolm. 

The Year Six students not completing the Sacrament of Confirmation are welcome to attend the family faith evening with a parent or caregiver.
