Shout-out to Bayside Sweets & Treats!

I want to give a huge thank you to Joe, the owner of Bayside Sweets and Treats, for donating over 400 bags of lollies for a charity event that we are running.

A few weeks ago, Steven, Ollie, Winston and I (Daniel), decided to contact Joe to see if he would be willing to donate to our charity. We explained that we were trying to raise money for kids who can’t afford proper equipment at Beaumaris Sharks. Joe did not hesitate; he invited us to his shop for a chat. What we thought would be a small donation turned into something much more. Joe’s generosity was overwhelming; he provided us with hundreds of dollars’ worth of lollies, far exceeding our expectations.

We then spent over five hours carefully creating the lolly bags, and our hard work paid off, as we now hope to raise over $800 dollars for charity. If we succeed, this money will go a long way in helping Beaumaris Sharks.

The generosity of Joe is unrivalled. He had no reason to do this other than because it was the right thing to do. He didn’t expect praise or payback; just that we raised money for those less fortunate. It is easier to take than to give, but those who give are a special kind of person. If you get a chance, even just to say thank you, go into his shop. Say thank you, maybe buy something, and give him a little of what he has given us.

We will be selling these lolly bags on September 11, at the lunchtime Market Day (organised by Year 9 students). We would greatly appreciate it if you could spare some change for our cause.

Joe’s kindness has truly made a difference in our lives and hopefully many others. It’s a wonderful example of how local businesses and schools can come together to support each other and make a positive impact.

Thank you, Joe.
