The Gathering Place

Langwarrin Park Primary is excited to introduce our new community space, "The Gathering Place."

On Friday, August 30th, we had the honour of hosting Paul Mercurio, State Member for Hastings, who officially opened our new space by cutting the ribbon. The ceremony was a proud occasion for the school community, with students, teachers, and parents all coming together to celebrate.

Designed to be a serene retreat, "The Gathering Place" offers a peaceful environment where everyone can relax, practice mindfulness, and connect with our core values: Respect, Resilience, and Citizenship. We hope this tranquil space will enhance our community by providing a place for reflection and calm.

To ensure that "The Gathering Place" remains welcoming for all, please follow these simple guidelines:

  1. Respect: Avoid the garden areas and handle the environment with care.
  2. Resilience: Maintain a quiet atmosphere so everyone can enjoy the peace.
  3. Citizenship: Use the provided bins to dispose of any litter and help keep the area clean.

Students are invited to use this space on their designated days according to the timetable below:

  • Monday: Prep
  • Tuesday: Year 1
  • Wednesday: Years 2 & 3
  • Thursday: Year 4
  • Friday: Years 5 & 6

Please note: The Jackson Drive area near the gates and fence line remains out of bounds as a play space.

We encourage everyone to visit "The Gathering Place" and take advantage of this special area, whether you need a quiet spot to read, meditate, or simply take a break.
