Head of Senior School
Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
A busy and significant time in the school year as we celebrate achievements, finalise assessments, and prepare for the close of another successful year at BMGS.
HSC Examinations
Our Year 12 students are now well into their HSC examinations. The first week has run smoothly, and we are proud of how our students have conducted themselves during this important period.
Thank you to our staff for their ongoing support and to families for the calm encouragement offered at home.
Year 11
Year 11 students have commenced their HSC courses for 2026 and are already demonstrating maturity and focus as they step into their final year of schooling. Students are encouraged to establish strong study habits early as they adjust to the expectations of Year 12.
Years 7–10
Students in Years 7–10 continue their Term 4 learning programs and assessments. Heads of Department are reviewing assessment schedules and reporting processes to ensure a smooth conclusion to the academic year.
Students are reminded to stay organised and maintain effort right through to the end of term.
Year 10 End of Year Program
As outlined previously, the Year 10 End of Year Program is a compulsory component of the academic year.
It includes:
A series of workshops and experiences designed to prepare students for senior studies and life beyond the classroom.
Attendance at all sessions is required to meet NESA requirements.
Senior School Artist in Residence
This week we welcome our Artist in Residence, who will be working with students across several Visual Arts classes to extend their creative practice.
This annual program provides an opportunity for students to engage with a professional artist and explore new techniques and ideas.
Uniforms and Conduct
A reminder to all students and families about maintaining our high standards of uniform and behaviour.
With warmer weather approaching, please ensure:
Mobile phones remain out of sight and switched off during the school day unless directed otherwise by a teacher.
Parking and Student Safety
As many of our senior students are now licensed drivers, we ask for ongoing care and consideration in the car park.
Students are encouraged to reverse into parking spaces in the morning when traffic is minimal. This reduces the risk of accidents during the busy afternoon departure period.
Thank you to students and parents for supporting this safety initiative.
