OSHCLUB News

We’ve had a fantastic start to Term 4! It’s been wonderful seeing everyone return full of energy and ready for another fun-filled term.

Our Breakfast Club was a hit with delicious options like yoghurt cones, fresh omelettes, warm toasties, fruit salad, and creative pancake art mornings that brought plenty of smiles. In the afternoons, our Snack Squad kept everyone fueled with favourites such as noodles, cheese toasties, butter chicken with potatoes and rice, tomato soup and garlic bread, and of course everyone’s favourite - nachos!

Throughout the week, our creative activities encouraged imagination and hands-on fun as children made slime, decorated cookies, crafted keychains and bracelets, painted solar systems, and got inventive with recycled art projects. For our physical activities, we stayed active with games of gagaball, fun on the senior playground and the web, group challenges, and chalk hopscotch in the sunshine.

It’s been a vibrant and joyful start to Term 4, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!

Spring Holiday Program

Our Spring Holiday Program was full of adventure, creativity, and laughter! Across two action-packed weeks, children explored our daily themes including Funfair Frenzy, Festival of Colours, and Circus Spectacular. Each day offered something new, from Osmosis Magic and DIY Rainbow Scratch Cards to Pixel Planter Pots and Tissue Paper Painting, there was plenty of colour and creativity in the air!

We had some amazing excursions, including visits to Gumbaya World, Healthy Kicks at the Port Melbourne Football Club, and Timezone Arcade and Bowling, giving children the chance to challenge themselves, stay active, and build friendships outside of the service.

Our incursions were just as exciting! Children joined the Colour Blast Relay, showing off their teamwork and sportsmanship, and loved our hands-on pizza-making session, where they became chefs for the day, rolling dough, adding toppings, and enjoying their creations together.

It was a joyful holiday program full of smiles, energy, and memorable moments. We’re so proud of how the children embraced every theme and activity, what a great way to finish the Spring break and get ready for Term 4!

Staffing Changes

As we move into the new term, there have been a few staffing changes. Amelia has moved on to coordinate at a larger school, and we thank her for her commitment and support during her time with us. Stepping into the Coordinator role is Leyla, who has been part of our team as an educator for almost three years.

I am excited to take on this new role and continue supporting our children, families, and school community. I look forward to building on the great work already happening here and to creating a positive and engaging environment for everyone! - Leyla

I would also like to share that I will be overseas from the 16/10 - 24/10. In this time, Hannah will be temporarily supporting Mount Pleasant Road along with Lekky as our casual educator. Both staff have worked at MPR many times in the past and know children and routine very well. I'm confident the service will run smoothly in my absence!

Upcoming events at OSHClub!

Family Suggestions

At OSHClub, we deeply value our families and community and would love to incorporate more family voices into our program. Whether it's a cherished family recipe we can cook together, a creative art activity, or any other idea, we would greatly appreciate your input!

Feel free to share your suggestions in our journal, located in the parent sign-in area, and we’ll do our best to bring them to life. Your contributions help make our program even more special!

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
