Year 5 Sovereign Hill Camp

Grade 5 have been learning all about early Australia, colonialism and the impact on ATSI People's from 1788 to 1901.

They explored key historical events including the first fleet, the gold rush and the Eureka stockade.

This has culminated in the Grade 5 trip to Sovereign Hill to immerse themselves into life at the time of the gold rush in the fantastic "living museum"!

Students have enjoyed discovering more about the real impact of mining on the environment and the lives of the people who lived during this time. What an experience!

Year 3 Community Expo

Last Week Year 3 students' participated in a Community Expo, showcasing their solutions to problems they had identified in our community. The Year 3 teachers were really impressed with the excellent standard, understanding and passion shown by the Year 3 cohort.

Year 5 History Expo

Students in Grade 5 were tasked to create and present a diorama and poster as part of the culmination of our Grade 5 History curriculum unit.

Everyone put in so much effort and time to design and make these fantastic models of life in early colonial Australia between 1788 and 1901.

The Grade 5 History Expo was a huge success and we'd like to thank all parents who came to view and explore their child's learning from this unit.

Enjoy some photos from the day!
