Parent Contributions 2026

2026 Parent Payment information is now available on Compass through Course Confirmation. Please take the time to read through all the information provided via Compass and the school newsletter.  A hard copy will be sent home via the classroom with your child(ren) and additional copies are available from the office.  Please direct any queries you might have to our Business Manager, Skye Thornton. Payment plans are available through your Compass access, or you may prefer to contact us directly.

Curriculum contributions will be requested from families from 1st November.  Other contributions and tax deductible contributions will be requested in 2026.  Requested contributions have been held at the 2025 level.  We continue work to find financial efficiencies within the school as we strive to limit the financial impact on households.

Contributions for our iPad program will be requested at the beginning of term 1 2026.

We want to thank you for all your support, whether through fundraising or volunteering your time. This has made a huge difference to our school and the programs we can offer.  Within our school, parent support and contributions allow us to provide strong focus on all key learning areas, particularly literacy and numeracy.  We offer a broad range of educational experiences that support the growth of our students academically, socially and emotionally.   These enhanced opportunities include the Patch program, outstanding facilities, strong safety management and compliance measures, well maintained gardens and grounds, three separate playground areas, tennis courts, netball and basketball courts, kitchen garden and quiet play areas.

Our Wellbeing and Chaplaincy program continues to support a large number of students and families which has a far reaching impact on the community as a whole along with a variety of clubs before and after school and lunchtimes.

Two options are available for making tax deductible contributions toward the School Building and Library Funds.  The library fund contributions are used to replenish and upgrade our library book supply for students.  In 2025 we began an update of the Blackburn Primary School brand to honour our proud history and reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation and the future of education.

This work will continue in 2026 and families will see visual upgrades to our grounds and building facades to maintain the visual representation of a preferred choice in primary school education.  We continue to maintain a list of projects such as new play equipment and other motor skill development resources, sensory areas, school security all requiring fundraising within our community.

A copy of the Parent Payment Policy 2026 can be found here or via the Parents/Policies tab on our school website.

Thank you for your ongoing support and contribution to your child’s educational journey.
