Student of the Month

August

As part of our acknowledgement of students who are representing our College Values, we will be presenting Student of the Month awards to students we believe have best represented the values during each month.

 

7A- Yacub Jama

"Yacub has had a really good month. He has been struggling at times to regulate his emotions during classes however, as the month has gone on he has made massive strides at recognising when he is struggling and asking for a drinks break or to play with a toy for 5 minutes before then returning to the class in a better frame of mind."

 

7B- Charlee Manitta

"Charlee demonstrates our college values consistently in class. She demonstrates respect to her peers and teacher. She frequently contributes to class discussions and uses her time constructively which demonstrates her aspiration to achieve. 

 

Charlee has put in a huge amount of effort into her Humanities work throughout this term. She is consistently checking in with the teacher on how to improve and always helping her peers around her. Her writing has substantially improved as well as her overall confidence. Very proud!"

7C- Mohammed Aahil Akhtar

"Aahil has been thoroughly enjoying our PE session and having a go at badminton. Aahil has been able to use skills learnt in social skills to join in with his peers and even communicate with a a partner when hitting the shuttlecock to one another. He has demonstrated a positive mind set when saying things like 'your turn' and 'try again' when working with a partner."

7D- Arib Majid

"Arib has shown high levels of respect to both his peers and staff. He is always kind in his interactions, asks questions in class and enthusiastically participates in classroom discussions. Arib is always the first to put his hand up when the teacher asks for volunteers to help pack up during PE lessons."  

 

7E- Caitlan Toon

"Caitlan is a valuable member of our class. In our most recent assessment task, she scored the highest mark in the class. This is a reflection of her incredible work ethic and her aspiration to achieve. She is respectful to all her peers and teachers and consistently encourages others around her."

 

7F- Scarlett Scott

"Scralett has shown amazing growth since the beginning of the year! Scarlett has put a lot of work into improving her relationships with others and trying more in class. Keep up the great work!"

 

7G- Sirat Kaur

"Sirat has put in a huge amount of effort for her English work this term. She has worked well ahead in both reading and writing and has shown a huge improvement overall in her class work and her preparation for the text response essay. She is always checking in with the teacher on how to improve and has shown great confidence and independence throughout this unit." 

7H- Japji Saini

"Japji has had an amazing first year of high school. She ha s continued to show respect to her peers and teachers and is able to put in 100% into her studies. Japji has natural sporting ability and shines in our PE sessions. Japji is a role model student who is always on task and doing her best."

 

7I- Naman Sheena

"Naman engages in class discussions and asks questions to clarify information and to develop a better understanding of what he is learning. Naman engages in social norms within the classroom and follows the school values within English."

 

 

7J- Zareen Fatima

"Zareen listens carefully to instructions within the classroom and completes all tasks given to her. She works carefully with her peers and is able to present her work to the class. Zareeen follows the school values by showing respect to all other students at all times."

 

7K- Mustafeen Abdullah

"Mustafeen demonstrates the school values in Humanities, through active conversations throughout whole class discussion and supporting his friends with their learning. He demonstrates aspiration and achievement through asking questions and successfully presenting his work."

 

 

 

 

8A- Ben Mika

"Ben was a positive presence in Performing Arts. He consistently demonstrates respect to the teacher and encourages his peers to do their best work. 8A were lucky enough to have Ben teach them a cultural hand clap game to play as a class."

 

8B- Amanveer Gill

"Aman is recognised for his respectful attitude towards both teachers and peers. He consistently demonstrates responsibility by being the first student waiting at the door each morning, ready to begin learning. Aman always tries his best in his Chinese studies and shows a positive attitude by welcoming feedback to improve further."

8C- Bianca-Jordan Pritchard

"Bianca is well mannered student, demonstrating great initiative in class during HAPE, always giving 100% effort for herself and to help others in the classroom environment."

 

 

 

8D- Aaron Sharma

"Aaron has shown a huge improvement in his overall engagement and academic progress in both English and Humanities. He has been completing his work to a high standard, helping his peers with their work and contributing positively to classroom discussions. This is a huge contrast to his progress in the first semester." 

8E- Callan Anitema

"Callan is a positive member of our class. During PE he frequently gives his best efforts and encourages those around him to do the same. He regularly shows leadership by volunteering to lead class discussions or help read the student bulletin."

 

8F- Tarandeep Tarandeep

"Tarandeep consistantly represents all school values. She tries her best in class and asks clarifying questions to improve her understanding. She is a great team player and shows respect to all members of the class."

 

 

8G- Pavesha Parthasarathy

"A quiet achiever, but consistent across the year. Always polite, works hard, helps in class."

 

 

 

 

8H- Sandrine Ebengo

"Sandrine has been an excellent student during HAPE this year. She always does her best and is able to always have a go. Sandrine is someone who puts her hand up to show her ideas in class, and has been really respectful during our sensitive topics."

 

 

8I- Tajkirat Dhaliwal

"Taj consistently demonstrates respect and sets a good example for his peers. He focuses on the task, avoids distractions, and frequently contributes to class discussions."
