Foundation Swimming
A reminder to the parents of Foundations students that NO makeup, face paint or hair products can be used with the students next Wednesday when it is Book Week. These products are not suitable when the children are in the pool for their swimming lesson. Thanks for your understanding with this matter.
Winter Sport Round 3
This Friday, our Year 5 and 6 students will participated in Round 3 of the Winter Sport Program. We welcome St Mary’s Primary School to our school. Students will compete in one of the following sports: football, netball, soccer, hot shots tennis, down ball, spike ball, mixed games and table tennis. Students need to bring along the appropriate gear for their sport e.g. football boots, wear their sport uniform and bring along a drink bottle.
Colac Division Badminton
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who represented Sacred Heart in the Colac Division Badminton Tournament at the Colac Showgrounds last Friday. Our badminton team were the overall winners of the day. A big thank you to Miss Campigli for helping the badminton team. Thanks also to the parents and grandparents who supported the day.
All Girls Cricket Program
Cricket Victoria is running an ‘All Girls Cricket Program” at the Colac Secondary College Oval for 6 weeks. This will start on Monday 25th August and finish on the 13th October. Each Monday it will start at 4:00pm and finish at 5:00pm. This is a great chance for girls to learn the fantastic game of cricket. More details on the 'Community page' in the newsletter.

Name: Thea A (Yr 6TR)
1. What sports do you play? The main sport I play is water skiing.
2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is waterskiing.
3. Why is this your favourite sport? Water skiing is my favourite sport because it is fun and I am good at it.
4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I was in the Water skiing World Championships.
5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my strong legs and I love speed, so I have no fear when I am water skiing.
6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun.
7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is ski racer Maddi Boyer.
8. Why are they your favourite? Maddi Boyer is my favourite sports person because she has overcome a lot of challenges from a skiing injury and is now back in the top ranks again.
9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the skiers involved in the Australian Water Ski Competitions.
10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am very fast, have great balance and that I am a fun and caring team mate.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is basketball.
3. Why is this your favourite sport? Basketball is my favourite sport because I like playing in a team.
4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I dribbled the basketball all the way down the court in a basketball match.
5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is that I am good at shooting goals in basketball.
6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport I like running.
7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is basketballer Anthony Davis.
8. Why are they your favourite? Anthony Davis is my favourite player because he is a great forward basketbal player for the Los Angeles Lakers.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Soccer is my favourite sport because I have a lot of fun when I play the game.
4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I won the soccer Grandfinal.
5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is that I am very athletic and I am fast.
6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and it keeps me fit and healthy.
7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.
8. Why are they your favourite? Cristiano Ronaldo is my favourite player because he is a fantastic soccer player with great skills.
