Last Thursday WEPS students were lucky enough to hear from Katrina Carey who has been involved in the creation of Kelp magazine for children. 

At Kelp Magazine, the belief is that KIDS are artists, writers, photographers and incredible explorers with so much to share!   

Katrina explained the process of creating a magazine, finding contributors, publishing and circulating copies to involve the maximum amount of local children and those young at heart.

Thank you so much Katrina for giving up your time to explain this process to our students and emphasise that anyone can be an author, illustrator or photographer - you just have to get in there and have a go! Look out for the Beach issue due out just before Christmas for some contributions from our amazing WEPS students!

What a fun week was had last week for the 80th Anniversary of Book Week 'Book an Adventure'. The week started off with our amazing parade and continued with mystery readers, buddy reading and fun activities related to the shortlisted books!
