Physical Education Update
Students are approaching the end of their basketball unit, where they have worked hard to develop and refine a range of key skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and rebounding. It has been fantastic to see their confidence and teamwork grow throughout this unit, both during class activities and in game situations.
Over the past few weeks, our senior students in Years 3–6 have also had the opportunity to showcase these skills at the Basketball Gala Days. They represented our school with pride, demonstrating not only their ability on the court but also great sportsmanship, teamwork, and encouragement towards one another.
Students in Years3 to 6 participated in their Hoop Time competition. These are a wonderful opportunity for students to apply the skills they have learnt in class in a fun and competitive environment.
In addition, students have completed their final fitness testing for the year, measuring progress in areas such as endurance, vertical jump, sprint speed, coordination, and strength. These tests provide valuable insight into each student’s growth and development across the year.
It has been a rewarding finish to the term in Physical Education, and I have enjoyed celebrating the achievements of all our students.
