Footsteps Drama

We are delighted to share the recent success of our students in the Footsteps drama program. Throughout the term, students engaged enthusiastically in a range of drama activities designed to build confidence, develop self-expression, and foster collaboration. The final performances showcased each student’s creativity and growth, highlighting the vibrant talents within our school community.
The Arts—including drama, music, visual arts, and dance—play a vital role in children’s learning and development. Engaging in drama allows students to explore new perspectives, express complex emotions, and strengthen important skills, such as communication and teamwork. The Arts stimulate imagination and critical thinking, supporting both academic achievement and social-emotional wellbeing.
Research demonstrates that participation in Arts programs improves motivation and engagement. For many students, drama provides an alternative avenue to shine, discover their strengths, and connect authentically with others. At Modbury School P-6, we remain committed to nurturing the whole child by embedding rich Arts experiences in our curriculum.
Congratulations to all students involved in Footsteps—it has been a wonderful celebration of creativity and learning. We are delighted to share some of the children's reflections on their participation in this program.
