Principal's message

As we begin Term 2, we reflect on the strong foundation established during Term 1 and our continued focus on maintaining consistency across the College.

During Term 1, staff worked closely with students to establish clear expectations and positive learning routines. Building strong habits early in the year helps create classrooms that are calm, focused, and supportive of student learning. These routines — including organisation, active participation, and respectful behaviour — will remain a key priority as we move through Term 2.

A significant development this year has been the introduction of our Sub-School model. This structure strengthens the support available to students by creating smaller learning communities where staff can more closely monitor student progress, wellbeing, and engagement. The Sub-School teams will continue working with students throughout Term 2 to reinforce positive learning behaviours and ensure students feel supported and connected within the College.

Acknowledging Our School Council Members

We extend our sincere thanks to several valued members of our school community for their dedicated service and contribution.

Daydd Kelly is recognised for four years of outstanding service on School Council. During this time, Daydd played a significant role in supporting policy development, financial oversight, and the College Master Plan, as well as generously giving time to assist with many school BBQs. His leadership as School Council President has been greatly appreciated, and his contribution has had a lasting impact on our college.

We also thank Rachael Cooper for five years of dedicated service. Rachael has been a passionate and caring contributor to the School Council and a founding member of the Parents Club. Her commitment to fostering a strong and supportive school community has been invaluable.

Finally, we acknowledge Anwen Stoakes for her two years as a student representative on School Council. Anwen’s leadership helped raise an impressive $3,500, which will be used to fund Barista and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training for students, conducted at the end of Term 1.

We thank each of these members for their time, energy, and commitment to improving our college community.

New College Website Coming Soon

We are pleased to share that our new College website is nearing completion. We recognise that the current site is outdated and appreciate your patience as we have worked to improve this important resource.

The new website will offer a more modern design, improved navigation, and easier access to key information for families. We are aiming for a launch at the beginning of Week 3 or 4 this term and look forward to sharing it with our community soon.

Uniform Expectations

Toward the end of last term, we noticed an increase in students not adhering to the College uniform policy. We would like to remind families that when enrolling at our College, it is understood that we have a uniform and that it is expected to be worn. Items such as denim are not part of the approved uniform.

We acknowledge that students and families may have different perspectives regarding uniforms. However, our focus is on building a strong, unified College culture and maintaining a positive standing within our local community. Clear and consistent expectations help support this goal.

At present, we are not imposing consequences for students who are out of uniform; however, this may change if there is not an improvement. Families requiring financial support are encouraged to contact their child’s Mentor or Year Level Leader so that we can provide assistance.

For full details of the uniform requirements, please refer to the College website.
