MPPS Student Values Awards ~ Term 1, Week 4
Students who have demonstrated our school values (Respect, Kindness, Gratitude) are selected from each cohort to receive an award certificate and our new Values wristband to wear to school each day. The students receive this award at a cohort assembly that is conducted twice per term.

Prep
Matilda ~ This award goes to a member of Prep A who consistently demonstrates our school value of kindness. Matilda, you are a shining star in your ability to show kindness to your classmates, teachers and everyone around you! You have had such a marvellous start to Prep, showing our school values since day 1! Every morning, Matilda enters the classroom with a wide smile and eagerness to start her day with her classmates. Matilda is a thoughtful, empathetic and caring student in our class. She is always looking out for others and helping wherever she can. Matilda knows the importance of always showing kindness and strives to do the right thing, even when nobody is watching, always encouraging others to do the same.
Congratulations, Matilda! Thank you for being a wonderful example of our school values. We love having you in our class!
Juno~ Juno has made an exceptional start to school. She consistently demonstrates kindness towards both her teachers and classmates, listening carefully, following instructions, and treating everyone with thoughtfulness and care. Juno is a compassionate and inclusive member of our class, always helping others feel valued and welcomed. Whether inviting a friend to join a game, patiently waiting her turn, or encouraging her peers during group activities, she goes out of her way to ensure everyone feels included. Juno also shows responsibility and care for her learning environment, looking after classroom materials, tidying up after herself, and handling books and resources thoughtfully. Juno’s caring, friendly, and thoughtful nature makes her an absolute joy to have in the classroom. We feel very fortunate to have her as part of our school community! Congratulations, Juno!
Jolie ~ This award goes to a student in Prep B who consistently demonstrates the value of kindness. Well done, Jolie! Jolie uses kind and caring words in all her interactions with others. She thoughtfully looks after her friends and goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels included and valued. Whether she is taking turns, sharing classroom resources, or offering a helping hand, Jolie always shows compassion and thoughtfulness.
She shows kindness not only through her actions with others but also through the small, everyday things she does—like helping classmates when they need support or quietly completing little jobs around the room, such as pushing in chairs or tidying shared spaces.
Jolie, your gentle nature and genuine kindness brighten our classroom each day. Congratulations on this well-deserved award!
Kobe ~ Kobe, thank you for bringing your love of learning to our art room each week. I really appreciate your enthusiasm and participation. You respectfully share your creative ideas with me and your classmates during our art sessions. You always take the time to say, “thank you,” you listen with care to others, and demonstrate appreciation for the creative activities I share with you. You use kind words, share warm smiles, and display thoughtful actions. Thank you for demonstrating respect and appreciation. I appreciate the joy you bring to every session.
Year 1/2
Poppy ~ Poppy does not just show kindness — she lives it every day. She is always willing to help the ES team clean up outdoor spaces, even when the mess is not her own. Poppy notices when others need support and is still careful to arrive on time for class. Poppy, you are a true credit to our school, your class, and your family.
Ralph ~ Ralph consistently demonstrates gratitude in his learning by showing appreciation for the many opportunities he is given each day. He is thankful for the help and support he receives from teachers and peers, and he responds positively when guided or encouraged. Ralph’s willingness to acknowledge others and approach learning with a grateful attitude helps create a kind and supportive classroom environment. Congratulations Ralph.
Gabriel ~ Gaby is always respectful and kind to his classmates. He works well with others and is always willing to help others out. Gaby makes everyone feel welcome, a true mark of respect. He shows care, patience, and respect every day, and he is a wonderful role model in the classroom and playground.
Year 3/4
Hannah ~ Hannah, You consistently demonstrate respect everyday. You diligently work on class tasks until you have completed them and accept further challenges to extend your learning. You willingly discuss and share your learning, ideas and personal resources with others without prompting. You listen without interrupting others, acknowledge their opinion and show empathy and understanding. You demonstrate our agreed expectations of how to work in our class and accept and apply feedback. You shine bright as a leader in our class.
Lillian ~ Lillian is a consistently positive student in Physical Education, demonstrating kindness, a gentle nature, and respect for others. She works exceptionally well as part of a team, always encouraging her peers and ensuring everyone feels included. Lillian leads through her actions, setting a positive example by showing fairness, humility, and support for others during games and activities. Her calm leadership and respectful approach contribute to a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environment in Physical Education.
William ~ William, You are a positive role model for the students at MPPS. You consistently demonstrate “Gratitude” in the classroom and in the yard. By engaging in learning and completing tasks at your personal best, you show teachers you appreciate learning opportunities. You thoughtfully acknowledge others by attentively listening and showing interest and understanding. A calm influence in our class.
Declan ~ Today I am very proud to present this award for kindness to Declan. Declan consistently shows what it means to care about others. He is always willing to help classmates when they don’t understand something, and what makes this even more special is that he offers his help without ever being asked. That takes not only confidence, but a genuinely kind heart. Declan, your kindness is incredibly noticed by teachers and other students. Congratulations on this very well-deserved award.
Year 5/6
William ~Will is receiving this award for consistently demonstrating our school value of Respect in everything he does. He is a genuinely kind and responsible member of our class who leads by quiet example. Whether he is in the classroom, out in the yard or working in specialist classes, Will treats everyone with kindness and consideration. He shows beautiful manners, listens thoughtfully to others and always speaks in a calm and respectful way. Will approaches his learning with a positive attitude and always gives his best effort. His calm, steady demeanour has a wonderful effect on those around him, and he is a truly valued and appreciated member of our class and school community.
Marly ~ Marly truly reflects MPPS’s value of Kindness through her everyday actions and positive attitude. She generously gives her time to help set up the classroom and is always willing to pitch in wherever support is needed. Her friendly good morning and good afternoon greetings brighten the day and help create a welcoming environment for everyone around her. This award celebrates the thoughtful, caring way Marly contributes to our classroom community. She shows us that kindness can be simple, consistent, and incredibly meaningful. Congratulations, Marly, on this well-deserved recognition!
Ella ~ I would like to warmly recommend Ella for a Gratitude Award. Ella consistently demonstrates what gratitude looks like in action. She approaches each day with a positive attitude, appreciation for learning, and respect for those around her. She listens thoughtfully, values the contributions of her classmates, and expresses her ideas with both confidence and humility. This week in particular, her effort across all subjects has been outstanding. During our whole-class story planning, she shared creative and insightful ideas that showed a strong understanding of story devices, while also encouraging and building on the ideas of others. Ella’s kindness, appreciation, and thoughtful participation make her a truly deserving recipient of this award. We are very proud of the way she contributes to our classroom community.
Jessica ~ Jessica is a phenomenal example of MPPS’s value of Kindness. Jessica is always ready to help anyone who needs it. She is consistently respectful and caring towards her teachers and treats her classmates with fairness and compassion. She sets a fantastic example by showing that kindness should be given to everyone! This award recognises not just what she does, but who she is. Her actions remind us all that kindness can change someone’s day and help create a school where everyone feels welcome and valued. Congratulations on this well-deserved award!
