Sport at St Christopher's

Kickball Review by Mikayla

Last Friday, the 5/6s with the help of our year 4s had an amazing time competing at the interschool sports. We competed against fantastic schools like Emmaus College, Weeden Heights, Park Hill, St Scholastica’s and St Lukes. I’m Mikayla and I am captain of the kickball team. My teammates, Naomi, Sophie, Olivia Wilkinson, Pennie, Eve, Amira, Ivy, Kosta, Christof and Zino played extraordinarily. Thank you to Miss Banks for being the BEST game day co-ordinator and for encouraging our school and all the other schools competing. Shout out to Kristoff for so many phenomenal catches! Our school came in 4th place! All the schools were so nice and talented and I can’t wait to see them at different events throughout the year. 

This was a great experience for all involved, and we like to thank Miss Banks, Mr Davoren, Mrs G and Melvin for their support and guidance on this day and making sure everything runs smoothly for us and the other schools.

T-Ball/Tee-ball Review by Aaron

     Hi my name is Aaron and I am representing the cricket team. Vihaan, Rastin, William, David D, David F, Max, Ari, Zihan and I went to play cricket against the school. We were all packed with confidence and even though we didn’t win we had a nice and fun day. Melvin was our coach for the day, I was the captain and Vihaan was vice captain. Some special shoutouts are: Rastin you were spectacular in the field and also in batting, but you were the best in our bowling line up, Vihaan did a good job in the field and good consistency in runs too and finally Melvin thank you for the wonderful day that you gave up.                     

Hi everyone,

My name is Renee and I am the captain of the Tee-ball team. It was a very hot and tiring  but exciting day! We played 6 continuous, back to back games!

We played against different schools, everyone was safe and included, and thankfully, no-one got hurt.

Everyone in our team and the other schools had great sportsmanship, and played fairly and happily. We definitely enjoyed our experience.

We came 5th, but what actually matters is that everyone tried their very best!

Thank you to our amazing supervisor, Mrs G who was our umpire (and had learnt our game that day!)

Our team mates Me, Olivia Wu, Ivanka, Ayla, Marlowe, Tejvir, Vincent and Yinuo were great, fun, and had lots of sportsmanship to every school we competed against.

Someone from my team who really stood out was Marlowe, she was a very helpful teammate, showing others in our team who were still confused about some of the rules, so everyone please give a big clap to Marlowe! We're looking forward to more days like that one.
