Dear Parents and Guardians
Ā
Boarding houses are, by their very nature, vibrant and busy places. Last week, the boys were actively involved in our Cebula House Feast, and it was wonderful to witness the strong sense of camaraderie and connection within the House. Now comprising both boarders and day boys, Cebula came together for Mass, games and a shared lunch, reflecting the unity and spirit of the community.
We were also privileged to welcome Fr Chicho OMI, the Superior General of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, who was joined by the Provincial, Fr Andrew Chen OMI. The Cebula community was honoured to host them at a special boarding dinner, following the opening and blessing of the newly refurbished Wilson House and the Yarning Circle.

Wilson House is a significant addition to the boarding community, offering a purpose-designed environment where boys can live, learn and thrive, while fostering independence and strong connections. The Yarning Circle, particularly meaningful for our First Nations students, has quickly become a valued and inclusive space for the wider school community.
On Fr Chichoās second day at the College, we had the pleasure of accompanying him to Wongan Hills, home to many of our boarding families. It was a wonderful opportunity for families and their sons to gather for lunch at the Wongan Hills Hotel with Fr Chicho, Fr Andrew, Fr Michael and Fr Matthew, allowing for meaningful connection with our rural community.
Ā
As the term continues, there are still several exciting events ahead for our boarders, including the much-anticipated House Cross Country, which is always a highlight. With less than two weeks remaining until the holidays, the boys are looking forward to spending time back home with family and friends.
Ā
Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our boarding community.
