Leadership Report

Welcome back to Magill for (somehow) the final term of the school year. 2023 must have been as enjoyable as they come because time flies when you’re having fun. The Term 4 buzz is in the air as we gear up for the exciting run home – with countless events and activities that promise to create lasting memories.

Excitement ahead:

The experience of Term 4 is about to hit full swing. Already, we’ve had a book fair, trips to the zoo, Year 6 aquatics, and several exciting incursions. As we look ahead, we have multiple highly-anticipated events on deck, including Year 6 camp, Instrumental Music Concert, 3-5 swimming lessons, animation incursions, Graduation ceremony and, of course, our spectacular end-of-year concert. Plus, I’m sure costume preparations are in their final stages, as gym doors open for our Halloween themed disco tonight!

World Teachers' Day:

“Teachers are like candles – they consume themselves to light the way for others”

Today we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a day to honour the incredible dedication and hard work of our teaching staff. The best way to appreciate our teachers, is to come and work a day in a classroom! But since that won’t be possible, take my word for it; our teachers are the backbone of our school community. It is important to express our gratitude for their unwavering commitment to the growth and well-being of our students. Our educators truly go above and beyond to provide a nurturing and inspiring learning environment, and we are incredibly fortunate to have them as a major part of our school family.

An abundance of information to come:

As we are hard at work planning next year and finalising a number of events for 2023, please keep an eye on your emails and communication channels this term, as there will be important information coming your way in the weeks to come. We encourage you to stay tuned and be proactive in checking for updates to ensure a smooth and successful transition for all. New classes, new students, and fresh opportunities are in store. We understand that change can be both exciting and challenging, and we assure you that we are committed to supporting students and families through the complexities that Term 4 can provide.

Let’s make sure we all cherish the remaining moments of the school year at Magill. Each day brings new opportunities for students to learn, create, and build lasting connections with their peers and teachers.

Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to a fantastic final term.
