Year 4 Excursion

On Thursday, 9th November, the Grade 4s went to the Australian Cinema of Moving Images (ACMI). We all enjoyed it very much.
We chose between two activities: green screen movie making or stop motion cinema. The greenscreen group made a little film about a group of kids in Alice's Wonderland. We learnt a lot about how greenscreens work and how movies are made. It was fascinating and the acting was fun.
The other group used Lego blocks to create a short stop motion film. We learnt about how much work, effort and time goes into making these types of movies. It was a huge effort and a lot of fun.
All the grade 4s enjoyed watching all of the films made.
In the museum, we learnt about olden day movies that ran on film made out of tiny photos as well as seeing ancient cameras and more.
We loved going to ACMI. We all hope we can go again!
