ADPSC BASKETBALL AND TENNIS TRIALS

Nominations are now being taken for talented Year 4 and 5 children for the Armidale Diocesan Basketball and Tennis trials. Priority will be given to students in Year 5. If you wish your child to be nominated please email Mrs Tyrrell on btyrrell@arm.catholic.edu.au

A Diocesan team and individuals will be selected to represent the Armidale Diocese at the Polding Trials in Coffs Harbour in 2024.  Only 6 boys and 6 girls may be nominated for basketball and only 3 children may be nominated for tennis. Tennis players will need to provide their ranking and any recent competition results. Basketballers will need to provide details of how many years they have been playing for, their preferred position and their representative history.

PSSA ATHLETICS

On Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 October we had two athletes travel to Sydney for the PSSA Athletics Carnival at Sydney Olympic Park. Cohen Jones placed 29th overall in the 11 year boys 100m and 23rd overall in the 11 year boys 200m. Isabella Harding-Brown placed 26th overall in the Junior Girls discus. The PSSA comprises of all primary schools across NSW.

BASKETBALL

Good luck to the St Nichs Devils, St Nichs Bumblebees and St Nichs Angels who are all in the semi-finals for basketball tonight. GO TEAMS. 

NETBALL

Dear Players and Parents, 

 

The End of Season Netball Presentation will be held this term- a big thanks to the parents who have put their hands up to help run it!

The presentation afternoon will involve pizza and a popper for afternoon tea, followed by the presentation. Children are allowed to remain after school until the presentation begins. Children are asked to bring a drink bottle to refill with water as needed. The children may bring clothes to get changed into after school if they wish. 

 

Where? In the Undercroft at school. 

 

When? On Friday 17th November 2023 (Term 4, Week 6). It will be held at 3:00pm after school so that students can stay at school, assemble in the COLA, get dressed (only if they wish), have a play, a dance and eat pizza. Supervision will be provided. 

 

What will happen?

3:00pm: The children assemble at the COLA. (bus lines are in the undercroft at this time).

3:45pm: Pizza arrives. Poppers given out.  (No other food will be provided).  

4:00pm: Presentations begin.

4:15pm: The presentation is finished and the players get picked up from the Undercroft.

Cost? The cost for 2 regular slices of pizza and a popper will be $5.00. If siblings wish to eat as well, it will be an additional $5.00 for them.
