Bike Ed at St Michael's
The Year Three/Four Bike Education program is part of the Physical Education Curriculum and will commence this term. The course will run during Week 8 - Tuesday 21st November to Friday 24th November. The program is a mix of theory and practical elements in which the students will all participate. In the final session of the program, students will participate in a ride around the school’s local area.
Dates:
Bike Education will be taught to students in Year Three/Four on the following dates:
Tuesday 21st November: Theory, bike and helmet safety check
Wednesday 22nd November:: Theory and practical riding session
Thursday 23rd November: Theory and practical riding session
Friday 24th November: Big Ride to Ferndale Park Playground
The program consists of classroom activities and cycling activities performed outdoors in the school grounds and on bike paths. On-road riding will also be undertaken. All of these activities will be supervised by teachers and qualified instructors.
