Principal's Update

At Dundas Public School we do our best always

Relieving Principal's Message

Welcome to Term 4

We trust that our students, families and friends had a wonderful Spring holiday break. It was lovely to see our students and teachers return to school safely on Monday. It is hard to believe we are already 2 weeks into the final term of the 2023 school year. We have had a great start to the term. Term 4 is always a busy time, filled with exciting events for our students, parents and community. I encourage you to stay up-to-date with information published in the newsletter and on the Audiri app.

Staffing

Congratulations Mr Yee!

Mr Yee has been successful in gaining a Relieving Principal position at Rydalmere PS for the remainder of the year. We know how lucky Rydalmere are and wish him all the best for the rest of 2023. Miss Hamidi will continue on the class until the end of next week while we are currently in the process of employing a teacher for 4/5G. Mr McSeveny will continue in his role as Relieving Assistant Principal for the remainder of the year.

Farewell Mrs Taylor!

Mrs Taylor has been successful in gaining a new Assistant Principal, Curriculum and Instruction position at Galston PS. Families at Dundas PS know of the dedication, commitment and care Mrs Taylor displays towards all children at our school. Her professionalism, exemplary classroom teaching practice and outstanding curriculum knowledge will be sorely missed. Mrs Taylor’s last day will be on Friday 27th October.

I am sure everyone will join with me in wishing her every success as she makes this move in her teaching career. On behalf of the staff, I would like to thank Mrs Taylor for everything she has done for our school and students, as well as being an amazing school leader and wonderful support. You will always be an important member of the Dundas PS family! Best wishes always!

Year 5 Camp

Year 5, Mr McSeveny, Mrs Keegan and Mrs Dinsdale will be travelling to Point Wolstoncroft sport and recreation centre for a three day, two night excursion. Students must be at school by 8:45am on Monday 23rd October and will arrive back to school on Wednesday 25th October by 3:00pm. A big thank to the teachers for taking the time away from their families to ensure that camps can happen. We know that Year 5 and the teachers will have a wonderful time.

Celebrating school attendance

Last term, over 200 students received an Attendance Bronze award for making an improvement in their overall attendance of 5% or greater for Term 3.

This term, we will be rewarding students with an Attendance Bronze award for making an improvement in arriving on time by 20% or arrive on time 90% of the time for Term 4. Students who achieve this goal will receive their Term 4 Attendance award in week 10.
