WELCOME BACK!
TERM 3
Dear families,
Welcome back to another exciting term at Hackham East Primary School! We are looking forward to an engaging and productive Term 3 as we continue to support our students to learn, grow, and achieve their best. Again, it is a busy term with many exciting events – please check the School Fridge Calendar that was sent home for dates and if you did not receive this, please pop into the front office to get one!
At Hackham East, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) approach remains a strong foundation of how we create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Our PBL expectations underpin everything we do: We are respectful, we are Inclusive, we are Learners.
Each term, we place a spotlight on particular behaviours that help our students develop into responsible and engaged learners. This term, your child will be learning more about what it means to display respect, act inclusively, and embrace learning in every part of the school day. Staff will lead classroom discussions and explicitly teach these expectations, ensuring that all students know what positive behaviour looks like at school.

To encourage and reinforce these behaviours, staff will be actively acknowledging when students demonstrate our school values. As always, we use our House Points system to publicly recognise these positive actions. When a staff member sees a student being respectful, inclusive, or showing a learner's mindset, that student will receive 2 house points. This is a great way for students to show pride in their achievements and contribute to their house teams' success.
We encourage you to talk with your child about our PBL expectations, and we look forward to celebrating every student's contribution to our positive school culture this term.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.
Warm regards,
Ms Sally
Principal
