Wellbeing at Bimbadeen Heights: Celebrating Inclusion & Taking Action

At Bimbadeen Heights Primary School, we are committed to fostering a culture of kindness, respect, and responsibility. This coming week, we will recognise two important events that highlight the values of inclusion, compassion and our students.

Harmony Week (March 20-26) celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity, promoting inclusiveness, respect, and understanding. This week encourages activities that reflect on the value of diversity and fosters a community spirit. More information can be found here.

World Down Syndrome Day (March 21) aims to raise awareness and advocate for the inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome. Wearing odd socks shows support for the cause. To learn more, visit World Down Syndrome Day.

Student Representative Council (SRC)

This year, we’ve changed the name of our Junior School Council to the Student Representative Council (SRC). This new name better reflects the growing role our student leaders play in shaping our school community.

The SRC is made up of passionate student leaders who are committed to promoting school spirit, supporting student wellbeing, and driving initiatives that have a positive impact on both our school and the wider community. Throughout the year, they will play an active role in organizing events, raising awareness, and supporting various projects that benefit us all.

Our SRC members have been elected by their peers from each class across the school and have received their badges, which they proudly wear on their school uniforms. We’re excited to see the SRC in action and look forward to the great work they will accomplish this year.

We’re excited to introduce our 2025 Student Representative Council (SRC)

Warm regards,

Amanda Bailey
