Hands On Learning

Term 1 Hands on Learning update
Term 1 has been action packed in the Hands on Learning program. Some students have graduated and finished their HoL program, some will remain in the program for a bit longer and we have had some new students join the program.
We have been busy planning activities and projects for the year ahead and have begun working on some projects, working on individual focus plans each session, baking delicious staff morning tea snacks that are always appreciated, cooking and creating delicious HoL lunches and working in our beautiful kitchen garden.
With sports day next Tuesday, we only have one more session of HoL for term 1.
In term 2 we look forward to hosting Muffin Days for grade 5, 4 and 3 students (2, 1, Foundation and 6 planned for later in the year), as well as our regular morning tea snack for staff and working on some ‘build’ projects.
Buddy Benches
We’re looking to add some more buddy benches to each of the play areas. Does anyone have any solid and sturdy bench seats (similar to our current buddy bench at the front of the school) that they no longer use and would donate to this project? We’ve looked into buying some new ones but good quality bench seats and quite expensive.
The four pillars of Hands on Learning :
A place to belong, people to belong to, real things to do and a chance to give back.
