As mentioned in last week's Compass notification, the Wheelers Hill Primary School Council was seeking nominations for five parent vacancies. We would like to thank the following parents who nominated:
Since the number of nominations matches the number of vacancies, no election is required. These parents are appointed to the School Council for a 2-year term. Thank you for your interest in the school, and we look forward to your contributions on the School Council.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Shamus Dougan, Alex Zulkarnian, and Ruey Lim, who have decided not to continue their time on the School Council. We truly appreciate the time and effort each of you has dedicated to the council.
A special thank you to Shamus and Alex, who have both served multiple terms. Shamus has been a dedicated and active contributor to the Finance Committee and the Parents Association for many years, while Alex has been a valued member of the OSHC Committee and a strong supporter of the OSHC program and staff. Both Shamus and Alex are terrific examples of how parents and school staff can work together, to benefit the students and the wider school community.
Thank you both for your long service and outstanding contributions to the School Council!
We have noticed an increasing number of students in the school yard early in the mornings. Please take note of the following important information regarding school hours and supervision before and after school:
For the remainder of the term, most assemblies will be held via Webex:

These will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday afternoons, and you are welcome to join us. The final assembly of the term, which will also celebrate Harmony Day, will be held on the oval at 9:10 am on Thursday, 3rd April.
To celebrate and promote our new house names, we will be holding a House Colours Day on Thursday, 27th March. On this day, students are encouraged to wear their house colour. They will also have the opportunity to share lunch with other members of their house from different year levels, fostering house spirit and connections. Below is a reminder of our new house names and colours.
