Grow your Mind Program
This year we are proud to introduce the Grow Your Mind program for our Reception to Year 6 students as part of our SEAD lessons. This is a wellbeing initiative that empowers students with the knowledge and tools to develop resilience, emotional intelligence, and a positive mindset. Through engaging activities and age-appropriate lessons, students learn about brain health, self-care strategies, and the importance of kindness and gratitude.
By fostering these skills from an early age, we help our girls build confidence, strengthen relationships, and navigate challenges with a growth mindset. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home and support our shared commitment to student wellbeing. We will be sharing more information about this program throughout the year. Pancake Day
On Monday morning, there was a wonderful gathering in the Junior School quadrangle. The Year 6 students, together with the Senior School Leaders, provided a pancake stall as a way of signifying Shrove Tuesday. The girls managed to raise significant funds for Caritas Australia, the international aid agency of the Catholic Church. It was fantastic to see such community spirit and joy amongst all our students. We look forward to participating in many more community fundraising efforts over the coming Lenten season to support those in need.
Swimming Carnival
There was such a wonderful atmosphere at the Year 4 to 6 Swimming Carnival on Tuesday. The Norwood outdoor pool was a sea of colour and joy as our girls embraced the spirit of this event. I was so proud of all the students as they stretched themselves to try new and challenging experiences. A special acknowledgment goes to Jessica Edwards, our dedicated Physical Education teacher, for investing considerable time in ensuring the carnival's success. The collective teamwork of all staff was certainly evident on the day. A big thank you must also go to our Junior School captains for their leadership, as well as to everyone who attended. Your presence certainly added to the magic of the day.
