Grade 4 Report

In Term 3, Grade 4 students are diving into The Wild Robot as part of their Literature unit.

This engaging story follows Roz, a robot who finds herself stranded on a remote island and must learn to survive in the wild. As Roz explores the island, she experiences a variety of environments—from dense forests and rocky cliffs to open meadows and coastal shorelines—each presenting new challenges and opportunities for growth. 

To deepen their connection with the text, students created their own robot "selfies" and illustrated one of the unique environments Roz encounters during her journey. 

This creative activity helped students visualise the setting and reflect on Roz’s transformation as she adapts to her new surroundings.
