The 2025 School Production

A HUGE thank you to our creative dream team! đđâ¨
Â
To all the incredible parents working tirelessly behind the scenesâthank you so much for your amazing contributions to our upcoming production of Shrek Jr.!
Whether itâs sewing, gluing, painting, building, or sourcing the weird and wonderfulâevery time I come up with a wild idea or prop request, Iâm blown away by the final product. The level of creativity, care, and attention to detail has completely exceeded my expectations. Youâve transformed visions into reality and brought so much magic to our show.
Â
Your time, talent and enthusiasm are truly appreciated. Thanks to you, our production is shaping up to be nothing short of SHREKtastic! đ§ đđ
We couldnât do it without you.
Â
DONATIONS:
We are on the hunt for old green, artificial Christmas trees - any size. In addition, any pre-loved, artificial plants would be gladly accepted.
Â
Important dates for your calendar and information regarding upcoming events
As we prepare for our upcoming production, weâd like to outline a few important requirements to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Â
Costume Try-On Day is scheduled for week 3 of this term:
Main characters and senior ensemble (Years 5 and 6): Tuesday 5th August
Prep to Year 4:Â Thursday 7th August
To make the costume fitting process smooth and respectful for all students, we ask that on Costume Try-On Day, children wear appropriate underclothing that allows them to change easily and comfortably. Suggestions include:
- Singlets
- Leggings
- Bike shorts
This will help your child feel comfortable and minimise the need for full outfit changes in shared spaces.
This year, most of the costumes will be provided by Great Ryrie Primary School and Amazing Transformations Costume Hire. However, there may be a few additional items we kindly ask you to provide from home.
Please see the list below and, if possible, send these items to school on or before your childâs scheduled costume try-on day. All items should be clearly labelled with your childâs full name.
If you are unable to provide any of the listed items, please let Peta Murray (Performing Arts Teacher) know as soon as possible. We will do our best to supply any necessary items where needed.

A reminder that, in line with Victorian Government regulations, all volunteers who attend school during school hours must hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC). If you already have a WWCC, please ensure your WWCC details are registered with the school office as soon as possible. If you donât yet have a check, you can apply online at www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au. Thank you for helping us create a safe and supportive environment for all students.
