Lord, We thank you for our wonderful grandparents.
They bring such joy and happiness into our lives.
Thank you for all the special times that we have with them.
Please watch over them, protect them and care for them now.
May they know your goodness and love always.
We remember and pray for all the grandparents that are no longer with us.
May we treasure all the wonderful memories that we have greeted together.
Amen
As a catholic learning community, we will be celebrating Grandparents Day. In recognition to this day, we will be celebrating by having mass this Friday the 25th of July at 9.15am. We invite all grandparents and special people in your children's lives to attend this celebration.
This year, our Year 6 children will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, August 10th at 3.00p.m. at St. Fidelis Church. In preparation for this sacrament, Maria Forde will facilitate an online Confirmation workshop on Thursday, July 24th at 7:00 p.m.
As a Catholic learning community, our staff engage in preparing our children for all sacraments. As parents, carers, and teachers, we work together in partnership to continue our children's faith journey. We invite all Year 6 parents and carers to attend the online workshop. A link will be sent to all families during the week. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this event.
Retreat Day:
As we continue to prepare our Year 6 children for the Sacrament of Confirmation, all year 6 children are invited and will have the opportunity to engage in a Retreat Day, this will take place at school on Friday the 1st of August. The day will be facilitated by myself (Annette Gasbarro). A hot lunch will be provided for the Year 6 children and they can wear casual clothes.
Bishop Rene Ramirez visit:
We are excited to share that our Year 6 students will have the chance to meet our new Bishop, Rene Ramirez, when he visits our school on Friday, 1st August.
Thank you to all the families who have already contributed to the St Vinnies Winter Appeal. We encourage all families to continue supporting this important initiative, which helps those in need during the colder months. Donation baskets are available at each year level across the school.
God bless and have a great week.
