School Expectations - What is a Good Choice?

In Foundation, the students will learn about the four school expectations: Be Your Best, Be Safe, Respect for All and Respect for the Environment, and why these expectations are necessary. Through role play, games and discussion, they will investigate how their choices affect other people. Students will also learn how our personal feelings can influence the way we behave in situations where we are unsure of the best course of action.

Growth Mindset - I Can Grow My Brain

Throughout our Growth Mindset unit, students will participate in a variety of activities, which include construction challenges and problem-solving tasks. Students will be encouraged to persist when tasks are challenging and to take their thinking further. We all have the ability to grow our minds, understanding that mistakes help us learn and know that learning is about getting better at what we think and do.
