The students will be learning about: 

• Book familiarisation, including: the direction we read, looking for capital letters and full stops, using illustrations to help follow the story, noticing rhyme and repetition, enjoying the magic of picture books!
• Using punctuation in writing (full stops, capital letters, spaces).
• Taking risks in writing - having a try!
• Forming letters correctly in our writing.
• Learning letter names and their most common sounds.
