In the final week of Term 2, Oren (Bass Trombone) and Zetara (Eb Tuba) represented Box Hill Academy Brass at the New Zealand National Band Championships. This was shortly after seeing the back of the Australian Nationals campaign over Easter, earlier this year.

After getting the win at the Australian National Band Championships in Melbourne over Easter, Box Hill Academy Brass travelled to Christchurch in New Zealand to try for “the double” title in 2025. 

Box Hill Academy Brass came 1st place in the Youth Grade section in New Zealand, with Zetara and Oren playing a pivotal role both musically and with the presentation of the band’s repertoire. Zetara was also an assisting player in Whitehorse Brass (also part of Box Hill City Band Inc), who competed in the Open C Grade Category placing 4th.
