Trafalgar Primary School has partnered with AFL Victoria to offer a 5-week After School Auskick program for all Foundation – Grade 6 students in Term 3 2025.
Auskick is a program that introduces children to Australian rules football (AFL). It's designed for kids aged 5-12, focusing on fun, game-based activities to develop fundamental movement skills and a love for the sport.
It’s a great way to keep the footy fun going as the junior season wraps up, especially for those keen to continue playing during the AFL finals series. It’s also ideal for new players who want to give AFL a go in a relaxed setting and enjoy a kick with friends.
This optional 5-week school-based program will be run outside of school learning hours (after school) at a cost of $55 per participant.
Sessions will be conducted by AFL Victoria on the school oval from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, allowing students to attend directly after class, on the following days:
Wednesday 13 August
No Auskick on Student Free Day (Wednesday 20 August)
Wednesday 27 August
Wednesday 3 September
Wednesday 10 September
Wednesday 17 September
To participate all you need to do is register your child to the program via PlayHQ.

Cold and flu season is hitting hard — and schools need support more than ever.

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 18 August to Friday 19 September 2025.
All families are invited to participate in the survey.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.
The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Resources are also available in additional languages to assist parents / caregivers / guardians who speak a language other than English at home. Please reach out to your child’s teacher, or the school directly for survey guides in your language.
