Spotlight on Learning Diversity Leader: 

Jacquelline Hammond

At our school, I am committed to ensuring that every student thrives by recognising and supporting their unique strengths and needs. In my role as Learning Diversity Leader, I work to make sure all students feel valued, included, and empowered to succeed.

A core part of my work is living out our school motto, “Working Together” because when students, teachers, and families partner closely, our learners flourish.

My role as Learning Diversity Leader includes:

• Supporting Students: I work with students who have varied learning profiles—whether they need extension, targeted support, or specialised strategies—to help them achieve their personal best.
• Guiding Teachers: I collaborate with classroom teachers to develop inclusive practices, adjustments, and learning plans so every child can access the curriculum meaningfully.
• Partnering With Families: I build strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure open communication, shared goals, and coordinated support for each child. Working together with families is essential to supporting the whole learner.
• Coordinating Services: I liaise with external professionals such as psychologists, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists to bring expert insight into the classroom.

• Promoting Inclusion: I lead initiatives that foster a culture where every learner feels respected, capable, and connected to our school community.

   

Through this work, I help ensure that our school remains a place where all students can grow and flourish.
