Place Value 

In JLA, students have been exploring place value and building a strong understanding of how numbers work. They’ve been learning what each digit represents in two and three digit numbers, breaking numbers into hundreds, tens and ones and comparing digits to explain why one number is larger or smaller. To make this learning hands‑on and engaging, students have been playing games and using tools such as hundreds charts, MAB blocks and counters to spot patterns and strengthen their confidence. It’s been wonderful to see them enjoy working with bigger numbers and sharing their thinking with others!
