This year, fortnightly Whole School Assemblies will be held on Monday afternoons at 2:50pm. These assemblies will be focused on whole school celebration events (i.e. Student Leader Presentations, Chinese New Year, etc). As in previous years, our Year 6 leaders will be involved in hosting these assemblies. Dates for our Whole School Assemblies will be published in the newsletter.
Year Level Assemblies will be held 3-4 times per term and will be focused on celebration student achievements (including presentation of Milgate Achiever Awards), year level events and learning priorities. Our hope is that a Year Level assembly will allow more time to acknowledge our students and their wonderful achievements. The dates and times of these assemblies will be sent to families via Compass and published in the newsletter.
The Year Level and Specialist Staffing Plan, along with our most up-to-date School Map, can be viewed below.

Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ privacy policy and the Schools’ privacy collection notice.
Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students policy describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.
We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use Google Workspace for Education safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Google Workspace for Education, please contact the school.

**Please note that if a mobile phone or device is not stored as per the attached policy, the device will be confiscated on the spot and the student may not be allowed to bring the device to school.
A mobile phone is a telephone with access to a cellular (telecommunication) system, with or without a physical connection to a network. For the purpose of this policy, “mobile phone” refers to mobile phones and any device that may connect to or have a similar functionality to a mobile phone such as smart watches that are NOT in ‘school mode’. School mode refers to a device that does not have connectivity to a cellular network during school hours.
In accordance with the Department’s Mobile Phones — Student Use Policy issued by the Minister for Education, personal mobile phones must not be used at Milgate Primary School during school hours, including lunchtime and recess, unless an exception has been granted. Where a student has been granted an exception, the student must use their mobile phone for the purpose for which the exception was granted, and in a safe, ethical and responsible manner. All families are encouraged to familiarise themselves with our school's Mobile Phone Policy below:
