SCHOOL PARKING INFORMATION

WELCOME TO 2026! 

We hope that you and your children had a refreshing break. We are excited to welcome you back to school.

As our School access is limited to one road in and one road out, this is a friendly reminder of carpark etiquette when attending our school site. Your cooperation assists bus access and general traffic flow. When we all work together, the carpark runs much more smoothly.

Bus Services:

Ventura Bus Services manages our daily bus runs. We have six large buses accessing our site every day, bringing students to school in the morning and taking them home in the afternoon. In the afternoon, these buses will arrive daily before 3:00 PM and need to use the full width of the circular driveway, including the drop-off/pick-up lane, in order to maneuver through the carpark.

Carpark Access Information:

The pick-up lane must remain clear of any vehicles until 3:00 PM to enable buses to enter and park in their designated places. Please do not park or wait in this area before this time.

School finish times are as follows:

• Kindergarten: 3:00 PM

• Primary: 3:15 PM

• Secondary: 3:30 PM

To reduce congestion, please adhere to the following pick-up times for children in the following Subschools:

• Kindergarten: 2:45 PM - 3:05 PM

• Primary: 3:05 PM - 3:20 PM

• Secondary: From 3:35 PM

Parking Attendants:

The School provides 3 parking attendants each morning and 7 parking attendants each afternoon to manage crossing points and assist with traffic flow. The attendants are provided for the safety of our whole community, particularly the children.

Drop Off / Pick Up Lane:

This lane is not a parking zone. When using this lane, please note to the following:

• Do not exit your vehicle or leave your vehicle unattended.

• As a courtesy to those behind you, please move your vehicle as far forward as possible.

• Instruct your children to enter and leave the vehicle via the passenger side doors only. This is for their safety, so they are not exiting the vehicle alongside passing traffic.

• Only use this lane if your child/children are ready and waiting for collection. If you need to wait for your child, please move to a parking space.

• Should you need to swap drivers (ie. you have a learner driver), please take a parking space as the delay holds up other vehicles.

Accessible/Disabled Parking Spaces:

The school has several accessible/disabled parking spaces. These spaces must be reserved for people with an Accessible Parking Permit. Only vehicles with an official permit are permitted to use these spaces.

Your cooperation is needed to:

1. Adhere to designated pick-up times.

2. Collect children promptly.

3. Follow the directional line markings and speed limit signs.

4. Follow the directions of staff parking attendants.

5. Treat staff and each other with courtesy and respect.

6. Pass this information on to family members who drop off or collect your children (grandparents, etc)

    

Your understanding is appreciated as we work to create a safe, more efficient drop-off/pick-up process for our school community. This process is not unlike that of other schools and is a common practice in many schools facing similar challenges.
